1st Grade

Hi! I’m Mia Sullivan, and I’m so excited to be teaching first grade! This is my fourth year in education. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado and am currently pursuing my master’s in Curriculum and Instruction.

I love creating a classroom where students feel supported, curious, and excited to learn! Outside of school, I enjoy reading, being creative, walking, and spending time with my husband, Tyler, and our two cattle dogs, Crue and Blueberry. I’m so lucky to be part of the Stone Mountain community!

Hello! My name is Brooke Wallace, and I have worked at Stone Mountain since 2016 in many different roles. I love teaching first grade at SME and I absolutely love working with children! This year, there will be a lot of learning, loads of fun, and many 1st grade memories! I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two wonderful children, Hailey and Cooper, both of whom are former SME Cubs! In my spare time, I love to garden, cook, read, travel, walk my two dogs, and bake sourdough bread. 
I am so excited about this school year! 

I am thrilled to join the first-grade team at Stone Mountain this year. This marks my 20th year in education and my 10th year teaching within Douglas County Schools. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I have proudly called Colorado home for the past 26 years.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I have two grown children—a son working in finance and a daughter pursuing a career in cardiovascular perfusion. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, growth, and fun with our new first graders!
