FIRST GRADE TEAM

 

 

LISA DISPENSE	lmdispense@dcsdk12.org	I am Ms. Dispense. I have been teaching first grade for 20.5 years! I look forward to helping you be lifelong learners, gain confidence, and learn teamwork skills. In 2020, I had the honor of receiving an Apple Award and representing Stone Mountain as the Elementary Educator of the Year for DCSD. I am a Colorado native, went to Green Mountain High School in Lakewood, attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska on a soccer scholarship, and received my Master’s degree at the University of Colorado at Denver in Curriculum and Instruction with an ESL I also earned my principal’s license from the University of Phoenix. I have two sons, Dylan (10th grade) and Logan (8th grade). I also have two miniature schnauzers, Gianna and Rocco. You will find us on a soccer or baseball field around town. During my free time I enjoy traveling, reading, riding my Peloton bike, skiing, and cheering for all of the Denver sports teams.
KATE BROWN	kntricarico@dcsdk12.org	Hi! I am Kate Brown, and this will be my 6th year teaching 1st grade at Stone Mountain. My sweet and supportive husband, Josh, and I have been together since we were Juniors at ThunderRidge High School. We live in Sterling Ranch with our Mini Bernedoodle, Scout, and cockapoo, Ruby. In addition to teaching, I love being with family and friends, playing Pickleball, and shopping at Target.
BROOKE WALLACE	bwallace@dcsdk12.org	Hello! My name is Brooke Wallace and I have worked at Stone Mountain since 2012 in many different roles. I love teaching first grade at SME and I absolutely love working with children! This year there will be a lot of learning, loads of fun, and many 1st grade memories! I have been married to my husband Bryan for 17 years and we have two wonderful children, Hailey (16) and Cooper (14), both of whom are former SME Cubs! In my spare time I love to garden, cook, read, travel, walk my two adorable dogs and bake sourdough bread.
