SECOND GRADE TEAM

 

JEN BEARMAN	jbearman2@dcsdk12.org	Hi! My name is Jen Bearman and I'm so excited to teach second grade! This will be my 8th year at SME, and my 17th year in education. I'm a CO native, but went to school in Southern CA. My husband and I have been married for 25 years, and we have two daughters. Ella, who just graduated from RCHS, and Kaitlyn will be a Senior at GCU! We enjoy traveling and spending time with our extended family. Classroom community is very important to me. I look forward to having fun with my students, while we learn and grow each day!
KATE MANION	kfmanion@dcsdk12.org	I am happy to be teaching 2nd grade literacy in this, my 17th year in education. My daughters, (23) (20), husband and I appreciate the beauty and activities Colorado has to offer but I'll always be a Chicago girl at heart. Teaching allows me the opportunity to show students the power of reading and writing while still keeping things fun and sometimes silly in the classroom!
KARLIN HUGHES	khughes@dcsdk12.org	My name is Karlin Hughes and I'm so excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year. I have been married to my husband Bill for 19 years and we have a daughter Ireland who is in 6th Grade at Stone Mountain. I love to go to sporting events, movies, ride my Peloton,  read and hike. I have my Bachelor's Degree in International Business Management and my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Regis University. I love being a teacher and pride myself on creating a fun environment for students where there is a balance of hard work and great fun.
